About our redaction

The local media network Gromada.Group is a team of professional journalists who create materials about various aspects of the life of territorial communities of the Kharkiv region, as well as cover the topics of the Russian-Ukrainian war, socio-economic, cultural and other important issues for society.

History of creation

Gromada.Group was founded in 2020 as a youth project and had 11 subsites. During the full-scale Russian invasion, it expanded its network to 24 subsites and a main site. Both experienced journalists and young students who are just starting their professional activities work for the media.

Our formats

Currently, Gromada.Group implements various news reporting formats, including written articles, video stories, podcasts, comics, analytical pieces, blogs, and more. Our media professionals also document war crimes committed by Russian occupiers in Kharkiv and the region, and disseminate relevant information.

The Gromada.Group team takes a qualitative approach to fulfilling its duties, providing materials 24 hours a day in the most accessible and understandable format for readers. In addition to the website, media content is distributed through social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram.

Our values

Expert opinions, the courage to call a spade a spade, and impartiality in reporting are the core priorities of the Gromada.Group editorial team. Our media is a crucial tool in the fight against disinformation and fake news, which the Russian Federation uses as a weapon in its war against Ukraine. We are committed to providing truthful and detailed coverage of the lives of the Kharkiv Region communities and events occurring in or related to Ukraine.

We aim to be socially impactful, often employing the 'solutions journalism' approach in our news writing. Our media is gender-sensitive, and through our content, we combat discrimination and challenge stereotypes. Gromada.Group stands firmly against corruption, supports democratic values, and conducts in-depth journalistic investigations.

Cooperation and support

The "Gromada.Group" portal is open to cooperation and provides media support to local public initiatives and charitable organizations. We are ready to promote the ideas of decentralization and other reforms of the social and economic life of communities. However, we do not collaborate with individuals who hold openly anti-Ukrainian or collaborationist positions, or with those whose views contradict universal human values.
