Gromada's journalist wins an award from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Gromada's journalist Olena Zelenina has won the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Prize for Popularization of Science - 2024.

 The prize was awarded in the nomination “The best popular science publication (series of publications) on scientific developments and achievements, problems of science development and/or publication of a periodical print/electronic media about science (magazines, newspapers, websites registered as media, scientific sections in the media)” for the series of articles “Horizons of Science” on the portal of the local media network “ Gromada.Group”.

 

At the award ceremony at the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, the President of the Academy, winner of the State Prize of Ukraine, a well-known theoretical physicist (incidentally, a graduate of Karazin University), Academician Anatoliy Zahorodniy noted the importance of popular science journalism for the development of science in Ukraine.

 

The prize is awarded annually to the media and their individual representatives, scientists and organizers of independent projects for the best material about the achievements of scientists, the activities of scientific institutions and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as a whole, as well as for promoting the popularization of science and raising the prestige of the profession of scientist in Ukraine.
