Following the results of the meeting in Alaska, Donald Trump said that one "big issue" has not yet been agreed upon. As The Insider notes, apparently, this is about what the Kremlin prefers to call a "territorial exchange," which de facto means the transfer of the entire unoccupied area of the Donetsk region to Russia.
How, the author of the article thinks, is it supposed to abandon the defense of a territory capable of detaining Russian troops for many months (if not years) and inflicting losses on them in the tens of thousands of people, hand over the already constructed engineering and fortification structures and withdraw to unequipped positions in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. And all this in exchange for small areas in the border regions that do not represent any military or political-diplomatic value.
