A figure has appeared on Budapest’s political horizon who hasn't just challenged Viktor Orbán’s long-standing rule but has done so from within the system itself. Péter Magyar — a forty-five-year-old lawyer whose surname literally translates as "Hungarian" — looks like the antithesis of the current prime minister: fit, energetic, and seventeen years younger.
