Reportedly, the group was led by the co-founder of a public organization that has been known for its pro-Ukrainian actions since 2015. Under the guise of a "veche", the attackers wanted to announce the "removal from power" of the current military and political leadership of Ukraine.  After that, they wanted to seize the building of the Verkhovna Rada and block its work. Now all the organizers face up to 10 years in prison.

It is possible that the Russian curators believed that this kind of provocation could result in a real "Maidan-3". After sincerely hoping to "capture Kyiv in three days and Kharkiv in a day," one is no longer surprised at the next stupidity of Moscow's strategists.

Let's think together about the background against which this ambitious "mess" was being prepared.

No matter how hard the fighting at the front and how long the war is becoming, it is becoming increasingly clear to the Russian authorities that they cannot defeat Ukrainians. The situation at the front, no matter how much it moves in one direction or another by a couple of hundred meters or kilometers, resembles the following picture: a ram (Russia) is stupidly banging its head against the wall of Ukrainian defenders.

This is the reason for Russian attempts to resort to other methods of warfare, which since 2014 we have come to call "hybrid".
