An intelligence source says that Ukraine was reassured by the first successes of the operation, which he says paralyzed Russia. According to him, Russia is now using elite soldiers in a dangerous way to stop the offensive. Ukraine, on the other hand, is advancing only where it would be appropriate.
The invasion of Kursk, which follows failures in Kyiv, Kharkiv region, and Kherson, is the "fourth major failure" of Russian generals in mechanized, maneuver warfare.
