Why is it difficult for Ukrainians to find a job, and why are some businesses forced to close due to a lack of labor?  What is proposed to restore the labor market?

During the war, Ukraine is experiencing a large-scale demographic crisis, accompanied by a drop in birth rates, high mortality rates, especially in the working age, increased emigration, and an imbalance in the labor market.

How to overcome the demographic crisis?

The government has approved the Strategy of Demographic Development of Ukraine until 2040. The document was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy in cooperation with other government agencies, civil society and international partners.

This is a step towards fulfilling one of the indicators of Ukraine's Plan to implement the EU initiative aimed at improving the labor market and living standards of Ukrainians.

The strategy was presented at the forum “Demographic Future of Ukraine: Strategy of Sustainability and Recovery. Regional Cross-section”.

How will the labor market be transformed in the near future?

Why do many Ukrainians find it difficult to find a job at a time when companies are experiencing labor shortages and small businesses are forced to close?
