42 Ukrainian entrepreneurs selected for training under the Stanford Ignite Ukraine program

Which representatives of the country's small and medium-sized businesses will go to California to acquire knowledge?
The CfE accelerator of the Ukrainian Catholic University has identified 42 entrepreneurs who, starting in February 2024, will have the opportunity to participate in the highly professional Stanford Ignite Ukraine program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. This 7-week initiative aims to develop skills in the field of commercial and strategic thinking.
Ivan Petrenko, CfE accelerator CEO reported: "In less than a month, about 1,000 candidates applied to the program, which once again confirms the positive dynamics of Ukrainian business recovery despite the full-scale invasion, its resilience, readiness to adapt and desire to develop under any circumstances. We are glad that together with partners, we can help Ukrainian entrepreneurs become part of the Stanford GSB community and provide an opportunity that is designed to be an impetus for changes in their thinking, teams, business and country."
The participants of the program were Knygolav, a publishing house and bookstore, rekava, a manufacturer of biodegradable products made from coffee grounds, Gastroli.ua, a platform for booking events, hotline.finance, a service for comparison and online registration of insurance products, VESNA, a manufacturer of herbal cosmetics, Liki24.com, a drug search and delivery service, Bread Eat!, a bakery, The Gradient, a digital product design agency, LA BOTANICA, a manufacturer of frozen snacks and desserts, NETRONIC, a laser tag equipment manufacturer, Leonis Marble, a natural stone company, etc.
Selected entrepreneurs will discover unexpected opportunities by spending three weeks at the Stanford Graduate School of Business campus in California, where they will interact with leading faculty and recognized business experts. The program is focused on the development of critical management skills, strategic thinking and an innovative approach.
"Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia — applications for the program were received from various regions of Ukraine. Regarding the type of business: service companies predominated over production ones. More than a third of the candidates had business experience from 6- 10 years (36%), and more than 10 years (38%). Such statistics indicate that Ukrainian business leaders understand the value of the lifelong learning concept and the importance of constant investment in their knowledge," the CfE accelerator's press service reported.
The organizers of the initiative undertook the financial support of the entrepreneurs' participation in the program, covering the costs of education, accommodation near the campus and basic logistical expenses. This project aims to promote the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, providing representatives from various regions with the opportunity to gain valuable experience at one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
