Distributed generation is becoming more and more fashionable in the energy sector. According to supporters of decentralization of heat and power supply, the only way to build a sustainable, safer, more resistant to enemy attacks energy system is to build 200 5 MW power plants instead of one 1000 MW power plant.

On the air of the Kharkiv Press Club experts analyzed the current issues of decentralized generation development, as well as its impact on local communities and the opportunities or impossibilities that decentralization opens up for local communities, and the role of innovative solutions in this process.
