Roman Kupchynskyi. What associations does this name evoke? The Soviet regime carefully erased even any mention of this bright personality and brave knight, who, not sparing his young life, fought as a volunteer in difficult battles for the independence of Ukraine as part of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen Legion. The USS became the embodiment of advanced political thought and the hope of the nationally conscious part of the Galician-Ukrainian society for the election of the Ukrainian state.
His name was unknown in Soviet times.
