March 24 marks the 118th anniversary of the birth of the famous Kharkiv woman Klavdiya Shulzhenko. Today, many people associate her with the Soviet era, war songs, and some believe that her work was purely propaganda.
Is this really true? What did she sing about? What was she really like? This is the subject of a conversation with Mykola Shemet, director of the K.I. Shulzhenko Museum of Outstanding Kharkiv Citizens.
