Restoration of damaged housing using secondary building materials recovered from buildings destroyed during the hostilities. Kharkiv eco-activists were the first in Ukraine to implement the idea of circular construction.

Kharkiv eco-activists were the first in Ukraine to implement the idea of circular construction.

 

The pilot project is called “Circular Construction in Practice”. It is being implemented within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Support for Ukraine's Recovery”.

 

What are the results of this project? Is circular construction effective in the communities of Kharkiv region? What do people restoring war-damaged housing need most?

 

This was discussed at a press conference held at the Kharkiv Press Club by environmentalist Anna Prokaieva, head of the NGO Zero Waste Kharkiv and founder of the Kharkiv Zero Waste movement.
