The community of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr in the village of Samiilivka, Lozova district, Kharkiv region, which moved from the UOC-MP to the OCU in the spring, finally gained access to its church after a long blockade of the church by the Moscow priest.

The stavropegic religious community of the OCU held its first service in the Church of St Volodymyr the Equal-to-the-Apostles led by Father Andriy after a long break.

The transition of the community from the UOC-MP to the Local Church was difficult.

The Gromada has already told us about the seizure of the church in Samiylivka by a priest of the UOC-MP, who unauthorisedly broke the locks that were replaced after the vote and threatened the current rector of the Church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr, Father Andriy Chelombitko, and his wife.

Finally, the community is now able to worship in their church.

This is the first religious community in the Lozova district to join the OCU and have its own church.
