Metamorphosis of the Narcissus Valley in Zakarpattia. Will we preserve this pearl, where wild daffodils have been blooming for thousands of years?

Usually wild daffodils bloom in the highlands of the Alps, Balkans and Carpathians, but in Zakarpattia there is the largest area of wild narrow-leaved daffodils in Europe, located in a valley. 

The Narcissus Valley blooms for a little over two weeks, from late April to mid-May. During this short time, many people come here to see this daffodil miracle of Zakarpattia. Can you imagine this beauty of a vast white carpet of daffodils?

However, tourists are in for an unpleasant surprise. And even disappointment...

Instead of a snow-white flower field in the Valley of Daffodils, they see thick grass, willows and shrubs, with single daffodils between them. And only in the distance are there small and sparse stripes of white flowers.

Why does the Valley of Daffodils not bloom profusely? What is the reason? Isn't the wild daffodil population and habitat decreasing? And is the unique Narcissus Valley dying?
