The current president of Moldova, a supporter of rapprochement with a united Europe, Maia Sandu, has announced her victory in the second round of the presidential election. According to the results of the voting, she was ahead of her rival, former Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo, by almost 11% of the vote. I
According to official data received by the Moldovan CEC from all polling stations, Sandu received 55.33% of the vote, while Stoianoglo received 44.67%.
Sandu won thanks to the votes of Moldovans living abroad.
Political experts discussed these and other aspects of the elections in Moldova, as well as what awaits the president of the neighboring state in the near future and what significance these processes have for Ukraine, in the “Political Café” of the Kharkiv Press Club.
