There are fewer and fewer Ukrainians. We used to be 52 million people, and before the full-scale invasion, 42 million people lived in Ukraine. During the war, according to the Institute of Demography, 31 million people lived on the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Currently, Ukraine is facing a serious and growing demographic crisis. If immediate measures are not taken today to stabilize the situation, Ukraine's population will be only 25 million in 2050, according to the Institute of Demography.

How to overcome the demographic crisis? The government has developed a “Strategy of Demographic Development of Ukraine until 2040,” which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The strategy was presented at the forum “Demographic Future of Ukraine: Strategy of Sustainability and Recovery. Regional Section”.
