“Our Will Cannot Be Switched Off Like the Lights”: How the Kurylyvska Hromada Lives and Fights on the Front Line

He knows every path in the area no worse than any scout. His life position is hardened by the challenges of fate: “The strong are not liked — they are inconvenient, they cannot be controlled” and “Our will cannot be switched off like the lights.”
In the latest episode of the "Voice of the Community" program organized by the Kharkiv Press Club, renowned journalist Oleksandr Shvets spoke with Oleksandr Baulin — the Head of the Kurylyvska Village Military Administration in the Kharkiv region.
Entrepreneur Oleksandr Baulin became a volunteer from the very first days of the full-scale invasion. After the de-occupation of his native land, he focused entirely on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
When he was offered the position of head of the military administration, he did not hesitate: “I was already constantly visiting the villages on both banks of the Oskil, helping our boys. So, I will be able to help my civilian compatriots as well.”
