It Happened! An indomitable warrior Mykola Vyuk with double leg amputation, whose prosthetics were refused in Ukraine, Europe and 96 clinics in the United States, despite the sad prognosis of doctors, not only got back on his feet, but also paddles kayaks and canoes and rides a mountain bike

The hero of the Ukrainian-Russian war, Mykola Vyuk, alias “Vyun,” who lost both legs near Kupyansk, fought for almost a year to walk. For almost 11 months, he did not know what it was like to be upright, being first bedridden and then in a wheelchair.

He was discouraged from prosthetics, arguing that his case was hopeless, so prosthetics were useless. They claimed that he would never be able to walk...

But the unbreakable warrior Mykola Vyuk did not give up. He looked death in the eye many times and each time came out of this battle victorious. So he wanted to win this time too. He wanted to get back on his feet at all costs.

And this dream has finally come true!

Today, despite a complicated case of high amputation and the refusal of all the clinics he went to, despite the pessimistic prognoses of doctors who only shook their heads hopelessly, Mykola has been fitted with bionic prostheses and is learning to walk on them.

He is proving once again that a strong-minded person can overcome even the most difficult circumstances.

Now Mykola is in the prosthetics center in Orlando in the United States. He is being fitted with the best prosthetists in the United States. This was made possible thanks to the Revived Soldiers Ukraine charitable foundation, volunteers and numerous donors in the United States.

R

ead more about the course of double bionic prosthetics and rehabilitation in the United States, what surprised him the most in the United States, and how he raises funds for prostheses for other seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers at auctions - in a conversation with Mykola Vyuk by phone from Orlando.
