The play by 20-year-old Maria Khodakivska, written to calm the shocks of the first days of the war in Kharkiv

The war caught 18-year-old Mariia Khodakivska in Kharkiv, where she was studying cello at the B. Liatoshynskyi Art College. Shock, horror, despair... She was sure that the first day of the war would be the last day of her life.
Today Maria is a student at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy. In 2023, Maria became a laureate of the Yevhen Spitzer All-Ukrainian Competition, receiving the Grand Prix and a special prize from the VERE MUSIC FUND.
Maria Khodakivska also wrote a piece that will be performed by an orchestra at the International Competition for Young Composers in Bologna. And she will play the cello solo.
