The Bloomberg agency learned that it could allegedly become a "pretence" during the visit of the US special envoy Steve Witkoff to Russia on August 8. The Kremlin is reportedly considering options to make concessions to US President Donald Trump, including an air ceasefire with Ukraine, to try to avoid the threat of secondary sanctions, even as Russia remains intent on continuing the war.
