The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we think about the global healthcare system. Over 704 million people have been infected worldwide in three years. About 20 million people died due to infection-related illnesses. Even after three years of fighting the virus, many questions remain today. What is the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus? Was it natural or laboratory produced? Was the vaccination policy effective? And is humanity ready for new pandemics?
All these questions will be discussed with Zenoviy Tkachuk, Head of the Laboratory of Innovative Biotechnologies at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in the program “About Science. Competently” program (hosted by Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko), which is broadcast on the YouTube channel of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
