Rivne region is a charming Ukrainian Polissya. It is a land of blue lakes - there are as many as 500 of them. There are 170 rivers flowing through the region. The land of pure pine forests. And Rivne region has the largest amber deposits in Ukraine. A piece of amber weighing more than 5 kilograms was found here - the largest in the history of Ukraine and one of the largest in the world. Experts say that this find is unique.
What else is unique in Rivne region? How does the rear region live in the face of war? How do communities respond to the demands of the times? What are the achievements and challenges?
The head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval, spoke about this during a press conference attended by journalists from 11 regions of Ukraine as part of a press tour organised by the Kharkiv Press Club.
