Two most important topics: the suspension of the supply of modern weapons to Kyiv from the US, mostly defense weapons, adopted in the aid pact by the former administration. Meanwhile, Russia last weekend carried out its largest air attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the three-year war, as a result of which, as reported, 477 drones and targets were used, as well as 60 missiles. Of these, 249 were reportedly shot down, and 226 were lost, probably due to electronic jamming.
According to Radio Liberty, the use of missiles has also almost doubled: 235 against 124. In addition, the average number of drones and missiles during Russian attacks has also increased many times. If in 2024 the average number of drones released by Russia daily (the total number divided by 30 days) was 11, and missiles - 4, then in June 2025 the average number of drones was 181, and missiles - about 8.
In 2025, Russia is also increasingly using the tactic of combined strikes, when a large number of drones and missiles are launched in several waves, maximally burdening Ukrainian air defense systems.
Experts explain the relatively low percentage of downed missiles by the high cost and shortage of Western anti-missiles.
