Viktor Yushchenko, who was almost fatally poisoned with dioxin during the 2004 presidential election campaign in Ukraine, who advocated Ukraine's integration with the West and was therefore considered a threat to the dictatorial regime in Russia, may have been personally ordered by Putin.

The US National Intelligence Agency released a partially declassified report and provided it to Bloomberg.

 

American intelligence confirms what we in Ukraine have always known: Yushchenko was poisoned by Russian special services. Already in 2004, Russia was waging war against us. An attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate is the most direct of all direct acts of aggression.

 

 

However, this news, against the backdrop of the current war and the aggressive policy of the aggressor country towards Ukraine, caused a great deal of public outcry and once again drew attention to the tragic events of 20 years ago that took place on the Ukrainian political Olympus.

 

Were Ukrainian special services involved in the attempted assassination of Viktor Yushchenko? Was the operation to eliminate the future president of Ukraine guided by Russian special services? And why did Ukrainian politicians not want to recognize the fact that Viktor Yushchenko was poisoned even after several independent expert opinions from the best laboratories in the world?
