“Language: Secrets of the Witches” by Natalia Misyuk. This book falls in love from the very first page. Even from the first letter, which is wrapped in a lace of grape leaves at the beginning of each chapter.

This book makes you fall in love with the Ukrainian language.

The four witches of Elegana are the four differences. There's also Mrs. Plural and her husband Noun, the shopkeeper Numeral, and the artist Adjective. From each of them, the main character, the cat, learns “secrets” - the most important patterns of the language that everyone who starts speaking Ukrainian after Russian needs to find

I always wonder what's next.

Usually, you learn a language using serious textbooks and rules, and then suddenly a book appears in which the same rules are wrapped in a bright wrapper of a fantasy story with a storyline, characters, and even gentle humor.

I was surprised that the book was intended for middle and high school age. Because even I, who knows the language, was interested in absolutely everything.

I have never seen such a touching, fascinating, and at the same time very understandable book about the Ukrainian language.

The presentation of Natalia Misyuk's book Language: Secrets of the Witches was held at the Roman Ivanychuk Regional Library for Youth in Lviv.
