“There is always room for the ocean in the desert.” Seriously wounded in battle, Mykhailo Filonenko began writing books in the hospital in order to hold on to life. He has already written 16 of them

Active, young, and ambitious, he had many plans for his life. 

But the war destroyed them completely. And forced him to live according to its inhuman, cruel scenario.

Mykhailo Filonenko is 28 years old. He is a soldier in the separate regiment of unmanned systems “Achilles” of the 92nd separate assault brigade, which heroically defends Kharkiv.

While carrying out a combat mission in Kupiansk, he suffered multiple serious injuries. He lost his hands, his sight, his whole body was torn to pieces, and doctors miraculously saved both his legs...

The explosion took his hands and his sight, but it did not take his voice.

In hospitals and during rehabilitation, he wrote 15 audiobooks. These are books of incredible inner strength and cosmic light about how, after five months of darkness, he learned to see in a new way. They are about rethinking life  through the stories of his characters.
