Kharkiv theater may have a new name. The naming procedure has finally begun. At what stage is the renaming of the theater now? How does the theater work in times of war?
And most importantly, how is the Ukrainian theater in Ukrainian Kharkiv returning to its Ukrainian origins in art. Hromada learned about this.
The Kharkiv Academic Drama Theater, which for many years bore the name of Pushkin, is getting rid of its Russian past. They want to rename the theater in honor of the famous Ukrainian writer and playwright Hryhoriy Kvitka-Osnovyanenko, whose life and work are associated with Slobozhanshchyna.
Back on March 1, 2022, the team took the initiative to rename the theater.
