Shocking news. According to a survey conducted by the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, almost 59% of female and male veterans feel that they are not respected enough by society. Moreover, the number of veterans who feel this way has increased compared to last year.

These data were made public during the presentation of the results of the sixth online survey of veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which was conducted in October-November 2024.

The survey involved 1025 people, of whom 88% were men and 11% were women. Among the respondents, 4.1% were aged 18-25, 28% were aged 25-35, 36% were aged 35-45, and 27.9% were aged 46-60. Almost 3% of female and male veterans were over 60 years old.

Among the participants were military men and women who had already completed their service, as well as defenders who are currently fighting.

What are the most pressing concerns of female and male veterans? What kind of support do they need most? Does the state fulfill its obligations to veterans? And to what extent do existing programs meet the real needs of female and male veterans?
