How the Monastery of the Dormition of the Mother of God in the village of Pohonya was destroyed and rose again, and the miracles of the miraculous icon that spoke

This year, I visited the picturesque village of Pohonia, located among beech forests of Ivano-Frankivsk region, for the second time.  Here is the Greek Catholic monastery of the Assumption of the Mother of God of the Order of St. Basil the Great, known throughout Galicia.  The main shrine of the monastery is the miraculous icon of the Mother of God, painted by an unknown author almost 400 years ago, which has long been called the “Queen of Redemption” and is located in the monastery church.
