Ancient Chortkiv, with a 500-year history, is one of the smallest cities in Ukraine in the Ternopil region. At the same time, it is the largest city in the region after Ternopil with a population of over 28 thousand people. After decentralization, the city community is one of the largest in the Ternopil region.
