70 years ago Ukraine became a member of UNESCO, which within the UN supports international cooperation in education, science, culture, protection of monuments. “Gromada” learned details about the destruction of Ukrainian heritage since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.....
Neimovirnі losses are recognized by Ukraine with lost lives and destroyed worlds. The idea that people can lose unforgettable parts of their history only reinforces this unforgivable tragedy.
According to the UNESCO statement, since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, for the first time the territories protected by the World Heritage Convention have been hit.
Thus, the attacking party violated this convention as well as the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
