The MSEC system in Ukraine has burst open like an old abscess. The scandals surrounding millionaires working in the MSEC have caused a powerful resonance in society. It turned out that 18 out of 25 heads of regional MSEKs were officially millionaires.
After a series of stunning revelations, the National Security and Defence Council held a meeting and decided to dismantle the MSEC system due to the huge scale of fake disability trade that threatens national security.
And recently, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law on urgent reform of the work of the MSEC, despite significant comments from the Main Legal Department of the Parliament.
What does this law propose?
How transparent will the new structure be? What will it look like? What are its advantages over the MSEC? And will the reform be able to overcome corruption in this area?
